Work to replace traffic signals at the Commercial Road and Blueschool Street junction in Hereford is scheduled between 12 October and 4 December 2026, according to Herefordshire Council.

The council says the junction should remain open for most of the project, with temporary three-way signals used while the permanent equipment is replaced.

Daytime closures are planned on Union Street on 20 and 21 October between 7am and 5pm, with signed diversion routes.

The work includes vehicle detection technology, pedestrian crossing improvements and repairs to supporting equipment. Road users should check official council updates in case arrangements change.
