Hartpury University has been placed in the highest Knowledge Exchange Framework band for local growth and regeneration.
Hartpury University says it has again achieved the highest engagement band for Local Growth and Regeneration in the latest Knowledge Exchange Framework.
The framework, published by Research England, looks at how universities work with businesses, public bodies and communities to turn research and expertise into wider economic and social benefits. Hartpury said its three-year average placed it in Quintile 5, described as very high engagement.
The university highlighted work with farming businesses, communities, employers and other partners as examples of its knowledge-exchange approach. It said the result reflects a focus on practical collaboration around skills, innovation and local economic development.
Hartpury also pointed to an earlier independent economic-impact study which estimated the combined contribution of Hartpury University and Hartpury College to the UK economy at £296 million. The latest framework result comes as local institutions place greater emphasis on skills and place-based growth.
