Special library bags containing themed resources are being offered to help people with dementia and memory loss share memories and start conversations.
People living with dementia or memory loss in Gloucestershire can now borrow Memory Sparks Bags through the county's library service.
Gloucestershire County Council says the bags are designed to prompt conversation, encourage reminiscence and help people spend meaningful time with relatives, friends and carers.
The project forms part of the library service's wider role in providing community resources as well as books. By making themed materials available to borrow, the scheme gives families and carers an activity they can use at home or in shared settings.
Residents can check availability through Gloucestershire Libraries. The council is promoting the scheme countywide as an accessible way to support connection and memory.
