Forest of Dean District Council is funding registration and offering project support for schools joining Eco-Schools in 2026/27.
Schools across the Forest of Dean are being invited to join the Eco-Schools programme for the 2026/27 academic year.
Forest of Dean District Council says it will again cover registration costs and provide an additional £100 per participating school for environmental projects and resources.
Eco-Schools encourages pupils to identify practical environmental actions within their school and community. Previous projects highlighted by the council have included creating wildlife spaces, reducing waste and encouraging greener travel.
The council says its funding is intended to remove cost barriers and help more local schools take part in the internationally recognised programme.
